Gliding is a modern sport open to people of all ages and backgrounds. Pilots can use wind currents to fly great distances without the use of an engine. Many pilots enjoy the feeling of freedom of gliding and some will also compete on speed and distance.

Safety is our paramount concern
Airworthiness of aircraft, flying standards and training syllabus conform strictly to the high standards of the Gliding Federation of Australia, a delegated authority of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and is overseen by the Instructor Panel and the Chief Flying Instructor.
Already a Pilot?
Bathurst Soaring Club openly welcomes pilots from other clubs from Australia or overseas. Pilots are able to continue or transfer training, or bring their glider and enjoy the facilities.
